Egg-and-dart is also the Egyptian symbol of eternal life which later evaluates into the tzar's sceptre.

Is this section really pertinent? Suggest removing this; possibly relocate to an article about the song if the song is deemed article-worthy. Also requires references ("It has been noted..." - where? Agreed. I'll go ahead and remove the Pop Culture section since it's been years since your comment and no one has said anything to support its inclusion. Greek borrowing from older civilizations

egg and dart are certainly not greek motifs, for example they appear in BMAC statues

since mauryan egg and dart appear to imitate the BMAC motif which also seem to exhibit a lot of BMAC, indus civilization motifs, and with an addition of one extra hanging element, i think the motif may have moved from east to west and redesigned by the greeks. 115.135.130.182 (talk) 19:17, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
