Birth place?[edit]

The intro says he was born in Bradford and info box in Paisley? (86.142.99.208 (talk) 21:41, 18 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Two questions.[edit]

What does 'launched with a sell-out Platform at the National Theatre' mean? I have a rough and ready idea of what it means to 'launch' a book (start selling it is my guess), but what on earth is a sell-out Platform? Contributors to Wikipedia should not shy away from plain English.

Also, I am intrigued to read that he conscientiously objected to his National Service, but I am left wondering what happened as a result. 109.148.210.250 (talk) 15:45, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
