Name etc[edit]

I have moved this article back top a former name becasue the subject was British and "Sr." is an American abbreviation. This is essentuially to preserve the status quo ante. I note that there are a vast number of alternative forms of the name that are redirects. The present disambiguator is not a wholly satisfactory one, in that he was evidently also a significant British politician. I would not oppose a move to a different form, provided it is an appropriate one. Peterkingiron (talk) 10:22, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In government[edit]

I have found conflict between other WP article as to whehter Ellice became Secretary at War in 1832 or 1833, and as to whether he was Financial or Plarliamentary Secretary to the Treasury. I have not sought to resolve this. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:34, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
