http://www.nciweb.net/eductors.htm might be a suitable reference.

"Water jet eductors utilize the kinetic energy of one liquid to cause the flow of another. Eductors consist of a converging nozzle, a body and a diffuser and resemble syphons in appearance. In operation, the pressure [...]" gives a brief sample of the material on the page.

Operating media, operating pressure, and other parameters are described on that page, also.

It *is* a vendor's page, and a better reference would be a design text.

Notability - Keep[edit]

RE the notability tag, I feel eductors are a worthy and notable technical article topic. I have limited experience with these devices and will see if I can edit the advertising junk out when I get a chance. I will also look into generating a diagram as well. Finally, we should include a link to ejectors and list alternative names by which eductors are known to help readers find this article.--CheMechanical (talk) 22:11, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Aspirator[edit]

Suggesting a merge as both articles seem to be about the same kind of pump? StealthFox 01:01, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I recommend eductor-jet pump be merged into aspirator. Neelix (talk) 21:04, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agree but the other way. I think the Aspirator is a specific type of the more general eductor pump. Egmason (talk) 09:56, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How Eductors Work[edit]

The section following "There are three connections common to all jet pumps" attempts to explain how these pumps operate. I feel that the author has partly missed the point, especially with (2). The eductor actually causes the fluid to flow by generating an area of low pressure at the point where the jet meets the suction stream.--GILDog (talk) 05:39, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I also think it would be useful to include well pumps in this page.--GILDog (talk) 05:39, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Caltec[edit]

This article needs a complete re-write. The article is now simply a advertisment for Caltec, can that Author please refrain from using Wikipedia as free promotion tool. Unless this information is changed I will revert the article back to the original. GILDog (talk) 00:39, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
