This article is ridiculously speculative and pro-Ferdinand. For instance, Wallenstein's quote followed by "Ferdinand would have agreed." Who are we to say what Ferdinand would've agreed with or not? This is an encyclopedia. I've spent some time doing some serious study of the 30 Years War so I will do my best to help clean it up some more. I've cleaned up the wording of this article but some content questions remain.

What princes were responsible for the secularization?

The link to secular doesn't describe what happend. Did the princes seize the land or simply allow others to use it.

What European wars were happening at the time? Is there a link to a related historical page?

I am pretty certain it refers to the Thirty Years' War. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 03:50, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The end of the article says "Ferdinand had to turn to Maximillian and Tilly once again.". To what event is the author referring?

I tried to clean the wording of this article up a bit but I agree, some of the history is a bit confusing. I'm going to rummage around in my history textbook for some more information to see if I can. I added two additional headers ("The History Behind the Edit" and "The Edict")- do they help the organization? They're more like stopgaps until we can expand the article and put in a proper table of contents, but I found the article impenetrable without some sort of organization...

piotrus- yeah, this was all part of the 30 Years' War! Tinuviel91 (talk) 02:49, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
