Mezoamerica is both an exonym/xenonym and a historical term[edit]

In "The name "loroco" is used throughout Mesoamerica to refer to the species" Mesoamerica refers to an area on the planet that encompasses many cultures and peoples who would not use this term to refer to themselves. It is also a historical term, and as such is not current. If we are referring to how current peoples and cultures refer to the plant, then we need to find another acceptable encompassing term or mention individual countries or peoples.
