POV Galore[edit]

'Colossal ammount of details', 'most advanced 3d engine' blah blah this is POV. To top it off, I have the game and I can tell you the so called 'in game' screenshot seen in preview were fake, as the engine is not particulary good. The game looks average. "I can tell you the so called 'in game' screenshot seen in preview were fake" - If that's not PoV, I don't know what is. Although perhaps it should be changed to "colossal amounts of detail for an RTS at the time of release", since revolutionary game graphics never stay that way for long.--Ifitmovesnukeit 23:12, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've made the change for a slightly earlier piece of text. I didn't think there was any point being repetitive with it though.--Ifitmovesnukeit 23:15, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've played this game and personally I don't think it was superior to the rest of the RTS games of that time, quite the opposite. It lacked many features that were standard in this genre for several years, and the graphics aren't as detail rich as claimed in various PR texts.--87.122.1.198 03:57, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think your all full of crap. The graphics are pretty good for an rts especially from the time. Your also forgetting the amount of physics and the massive amount of units you can have on screen at once. Regardless opinions aren't relevant, so unless you have a constructive edit to propose leave well enough alone.Eno-Etile 05:50, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the ucs[edit]

i don't seem to get this... exactly what happened to the UCS? I mean, on the official website it says that they were all killed by the robots, but here, it says the humans are kept in stasis in orbit. Just tell me, did the humans actually survive or were they killed?

The official website is junk, don't trust it. The Humans survived and were re-awoken about 3/4 of the way through the game's storyline.--Ifitmovesnukeit 23:09, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Skirmish mode?[edit]

IS there a skirmish mode to the same level as in the 2150 and why is the map maker a seperate programe. The skirmish mode was one of my favourire parts of the game as i could make anymap i wanted and perfect my game, does it still have this?

Yes, singleplayer skirmish is a feature of Earth 2160. Is it really that big a deal that the map editor is a seperate programme?--Ifitmovesnukeit 23:02, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Community Rebalancing[edit]

A entry about the community rebalancing has been added, question is if gameplay changes should be described more detailed. As well if can be described as a main condition to play online as the main gameplay mode played online. -- Scalestor

Advertising Text?[edit]

If I go through the text, it seems it has been mainly copied from an advertisment and doesn't fit the realities. Any suggestions in how far the text should be changed? -- Scalestor

Aliens...[edit]

"Having been imprisoned beneath the Martian surface aeons ago they were awoken by landing UCS ships." SPOILER: I thought they were originally awoken by the lone LC man on Eden and from Eden, they found their way back to our known solar system where they infected planets such as Mars. I do believe it states that the Aliens "comandeered" LC aircraft or something of that sort."

Wrong. The aliens were situated below the surface of several planets and moons until they were found by ED and LC. Both sides attempted to turn the aliens into biological weapons but failed.

"...Maintain family of units..." In the English version, they spell and say it as "Mantian" (pronounced the same as "mansion" as in a large, up-scale house).

Fair use rationale for Image:Earth2160 ED campaign.JPG[edit]

Image:Earth2160 ED campaign.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

the anti-piracy section should be removed[edit]

there isnt any ways to pirate the game due to the activation requiring a valid serial. that means that that section is incorrect.84.208.64.62 (talk) 17:18, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
