Quaternary template[edit]

On 9 February 2012 Pseudofusulina removed the Quaternary template, indicating that "a period is divided into epochs and stages, it's an eratherm that's dividied into systems, series, stages, in spite of the wikipedia article to the contrary - and you can't reference it if it's wrong.

I have restored the template because it is useful. Maybe I don't understand Pseudofusulina's point, did he mean epochs and ages? If there is a problem with the template, particularly the note at the bottom, would it not be better to discuss that on the template talk page and to fix the template? --Bejnar (talk) 06:02, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Importance to geology[edit]

I would really rank the Early Pleistocene as of upper mid level of importance rather than low. Obviously the current state of this stub is not emblematic of its importance, but see the articles on the Gelasian and the Calabrian ages for a fuller view. --Bejnar (talk) 06:02, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
