Untitled[edit]

I only got this far: "today offers what is believed to be the world’s most comprehensive range." It also just doesn't have the type of information or the style/format we normally use. It has trademark symbols in it, which are against our manual of style, an awards section, which is promotional, and more problems than I would care to take time to explain.

What I would suggest is I will donate some time to cleaning up the article to address the tags. My advice would be to just point out any errors or corrections, unless someone at the company is willing to gain more experience editing here before making a second attempt. Done I also went through the refs, implemented content from the good ones and culled the press releases, etc. Tammy if you could provide the full-text by email of the remaining six articles that require a login, I would probably be willing to add those as well. Dear CorporateM, Thanks very much for taking the time to have a look at our page, I really appreciate it. In terms of your feedback, we've tried to make sure that all the content on our page is fully referenced to a secondary source - for example the "today offers what is believed to be the world's most comprehensive range" was written by a number of journalists, similarly although the awards section could be percived as being promotional we've tried to make sure that everything is referenced. How should we go about improving this?

I'd be happy to send through the full articles that are password protected in the reference section - how should I go about sending these through to you?

Hi Tammy. I got the sources you emailed me, but they appear to potentially be cherry-picked? For example, the Chris Flood story suggests there was a failed attempt to sell the company: "This follows the company’s decision last year to pursue an independent future rather than seeking a buyer for its business." Do we have a source for that? The Risk.net story says "along the way it has weathered the financial crisis." Is there more detail on this in another source?

I don't think I'm willing to do donate the time it would take to do the research into the less flattering aspects of the company's history in order to get a decent page together. CorporateM (Talk) 16:42, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've updated the AUM and employee count. This kind of thing I'll normally just trust a PR editor for, even in the case of prior astroturfing. Because you keep proposing specific text that I do not want to copy into the article, it makes it difficult to distinguish what the actual error is you're trying to point out. Thanks CorporateM, the problem at the moment is that there isn't very much information about the company, and the information that is provided isn't structured particularly well. For example the history of the company is separated between the headings 'History' and also 'Funds' when it should all be together. Also for the sentence, 'In September 2008, the Company launched ETF Exchange, a trading platform. The platform is now available on 5 European exchanges including the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Borse, Borsa Italiana, NYSE Euronext and the ISE.' The last word 'ISE' should read 'SIX'
