Neutral Point of View[edit]

"Wikipedia content is intended to be factual, notable, verifiable with external sources, and neutrally presented, with external sources cited."

"Neutral Point of View (NPOV) is a fundamental Wikipedia principle which states that all articles must be written from a neutral point of view, that is, they must represent views fairly and without bias. This includes maps, reader-facing templates, categories and portals. According to Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, NPOV is 'absolute and non-negotiable.'"

I have removed the parts of this article that were not factual, verifiable with external sources or presented from a non-neutral point of view.

London Airport Authority?[edit]

I don't think there is a "London Aiport Authority" is there? It's mentioned in the last paragraph and I've just put it in as a link but I'm not sure if that's its correct name. If anyone knows then please correct it. Iancaddy 19:45, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is actually London Ashford Airport that is submitting the proposals - see here Peter Shearan 18:22, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there nothing positive about this article[edit]

Take a trip there and see for yourself!

Negative equity[edit]

I removed the following from the article as I think it departs from the topic:

The end result will be that homeowners who have recently taken out 20 or 25 year mortgages will suddenly find themselves in a negative equity* situation while the rest of Britain continues to maintain a steady increase in property prices.

Negative equity = A situation where the current property price has fallen below the balance remaining on the mortgage. In other words, although the owner has made several repayments, the house value is less than the money still to be paid.

Started again[edit]

I have started the article again and will take some photos to add to the article this week.

Scot Free[edit]

'The head magistrate was known as Leveller of the Marsh Scotts.'

Any explanation for that odd-sounding title? Did it just refer to one man called Scotts? Many people might be interested to know the origin of 'Scot Free'. Valetude (talk) 19:23, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A 'scot' was an early English form of taxation, persons not liable for the tax being let-off 'scot free'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.150.100.255 (talk) 15:17, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
