photo[edit]

Well, not exactly the most exciting or even representative photo of a duty officer on, er, duty. Surely one could go through some of the military photo sites and get a public domain shot of an OOD in uniform doing something more interesting, inspecting the head even, than just sitting at a desk...

Here's one fore example from Wiki's own files:

examples[edit]

Obviously some Wiki-ite from India, etc. has come in a dumped a half-baked blurb about one or two aspects of the duty in their local service. Perhaps some bright Wiki-editor could recast these into a more cohesive section on examples of what the duty entails in this country or that service so it isn't just a disjointed hodge podge of disjointed, scatter brained thoughts.

General term for civilian equivalent?[edit]

Is the term "Duty officer" also used in other contexts, e.g. emergency response at a power company or for an authority like this Swedish one? Sjö (talk) 17:58, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
