Comments[edit]

If anyone has a moment, i'd be very grateful if they could look beyond the front pages of the short: Mahon, Denis, Notes on the 'Dutch Gift' to Charles II:, The Burlington Magazine, Vol. 91,Part I in: No. 560 (Nov., 1949), pp. 303-305, Part II in No. 561 (Dec., 1949), pp. 349-350, Part III No. 562 (Jan., 1950), pp. 12-18. (All on JSTOR)[1], [2], [3] and [4] letter. Mahon has 14 Italian paintings still in the RC, I have only 11, plus I only have Dou & Elsheimer of the 4 non-Italians, but hear whispers of a Vroom seascape, a Pieter Jansz Saenredam. done. Many thanks if you can get round to it. Johnbod (talk) 22:48, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Updated now a Cariani added. Johnbod (talk) 23:59, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Now I think the Vroom seascape is from Prince Henry's "Dutch Gift" - 161 was it? But I see mention of a Tintoretto. Johnbod (talk) 00:06, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bonifazio[edit]

There is mention of a "Bonifazio", presumably a Bonifazio Veronese, at Penny p. 471, but can't see how this fits in. Johnbod (talk) 18:09, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
