Should Woo-oo!" and The Shadow War! Be episode 1-2 and 24-25 Respectfully as they are both double episodes and they also airs as two half-hour episodes,Fanoflionking 23:25, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

No. They originally aired as single episodes so should be documented as single episodes. Length is irrelevant. Geraldo Perez (talk) 03:06, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
As much as length is irrelevant (and I agree that it is), production is not. Both "woo-oo!" and "the shadow war" is produced as two episodes (hence the double production numbers), and ought to be listed as such. --Pyy (talk) 12:31, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
No – that's why we include prod. codes. But "# of produced episodes" ≠ "# of aired episodes" in a lot of cases: if this originally aired with one set of credits, then it's a "double-length episode", not "two episodes", regardless of what happened in production. Episode tables are to record what was broadcast... --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:13, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
They were not produced as two episodes, they used two production slots to product one long episode. What went into making something is of less importance than the final product. The fact that two production slots were used mostly reflects the internal accounting and creative process of the production team. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:25, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Hmm.. can you share sources for those statements? --Pyy (talk) 09:08, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
Sure, the finished product that was aired was a single episode with one set of credits. This is the primary source that it was a single episode. This can also be verified at Amazon that it is being sold as a single 44 minute episode. The fact that it has two production codes is also referenced and production codes label production slots. Are you looking for a source that production codes are related to the production process? Or that a production slot doesn't always result in an episode being produced? A related question in that case is what is the source that a production slot always results in an episode being produced. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:48, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
The original announcement said S1 would be "21 episodes and two one-hour specials", a special is basically 1 episode. Gravity Falls also had a double-length episode/finale. --H8149 (talk) 23:57, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

List of episodes

I have created a Draft:List of Ducktales (2017) episodes page witch is ready to be moved. Fanoflionking 13:35, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

  • Oppose split at this time. We generally wait until into the second season of a series to start thinking about splitting out the episode list. Not enough content to justify it now. Geraldo Perez (talk) 05:47, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Oppose – even a second season doesn't justify a separate LoE article: it has more to do with total number of episodes and extent of prose (e.g. episode summaries). Also, the draft at Draft:List of Ducktales (2017) episodes is mistitled – it should be at Draft:List of DuckTales (2017 TV series) episodes (note that List of DuckTales (2017 TV series) episodes already exists as a redirect). --IJBall (contribstalk) 06:02, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
  • I also oppose the split. Besides, it's currently unknown about how many episodes season two will have. ~KinHikari 18:12, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Support - much of the article is composed of the episode list and episode summaries, which will only become more of an issue as season two progresses.—Mythdon (talkcontribs) 06:46, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Support - since august, when above oppositions were made, season 2 has been confirmed to inclode 25 episode, it has begun airing, and a third season has been ordered. -Pyy (talk) 08:37, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Support - with the confirmation of 25 episodes for season 2 and the order of season 3 this makes sense. And with the abundance of shorts there is already more than enough content even with season 2 being in the early days. There is also quite a bit of precedent for separate episode articles on comparable programs on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. 138.110.224.37 (talk) 22:28, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Support - In the words of Shia LaBeouf, "JUST DO IT!!!"Voicebox64 (talk) 01:01, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Support - I suppose we could split the episodes into a different article.Keylonrocks7356 (talk) 17:33, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

ok there is mutlpy people staying slpit if the no more oppose i will go on and do itFanoflionking 23:58, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

any more i will move the list in 48H Fanoflionking 19:28, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
  • Oppose - This draft no longer exists. It seems to have been caught up in moving a draft of a The Grand Tour episodes and has disappeared. --AussieLegend () 04:02, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
Comment: That doesn’t mean something in the spirit can’t be crafted if the episode list is split off--Fradio71 (talk) 04:31, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
    • No, but if the draft no longer exists it does mean that it can't be moved. --AussieLegend () 05:29, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
The newly recreated page still has issues that prevent it being moved into article space. As it stands now it has referencing and internal linking errors. It's pretty much a straight copy of the episode list in this article with none of the changes required for an actual article except for heading levels and a very short lede. --AussieLegend () 22:34, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

‘DuckTales 2017’

Shouldn't a note be made somewhere on the page of the fact that the fandom usually refers to the series as DuckTales 2017 in an effort to distinguish it from the original 1987 version? The problem being that I don't really know where to find a Wikipedia-accepted reference for that fact, or even what would constitute a fitting source.--Scrooge MacDuck (talk) 13:08, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

Episode list split

The rapidly growing list of episodes and webisodes clearly needs her own article. 95.90.116.68 (talk) 19:23, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

There is relatively little in this article that is not the episode list. If we split that out we would end up with a fairly short root article and an list of episodes article about the same size as this one is. I'd say hold off until the non-episode part of this article has more content. Geraldo Perez (talk) 01:41, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

Episode list

I think it will be better, when the episodes were in a main article (List of episodes of DuckTales (2017 TV series)). Do you, the other wikipedians think also so? -- 2A02:8070:87BE:5500:3418:AA3E:F67E:6943 (talk) 13:16, 27 May 2019 (UTC)

See above, #Episode list split. There is too little left in this article if the episode info is removed. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:58, 27 May 2019 (UTC)

S1E23 "The Shadow War!" is a single episode

It originally aired as a one-hour special per what is in the episode description. It is sold on Amazon as a single episode. There are 23 episodes that aired in season 1, the first and last were specials. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:02, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

No, the pilot are episodes 1 & 2, and the finale are episodes 24 & 25. -- 2A02:8070:87BE:5500:3418:AA3E:F67E:6943 (talk) 13:16, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
That assertion is not backed up with what actually aired. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:59, 27 May 2019 (UTC)

Comic

Can we add a quick summary of the comics story lines Fanoflionking 00:29, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

"Futon" Cite error

Can we fix this error? I don’t know how to fix it myself. Meowzerz (talk) 19:04, 20 November 2019 (UTC)

Done In the future Meowzerz, just do a page search of the reference name in question. That way you'll see if the name is being used in the article but doesn't have the corresponding reference on the page, or in this case, the name was defined, but was not actually being used to cite anything. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:12, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Okay, thank you for the tip and fixing the error. :) Meowzerz (talk) 13:29, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Della Duck draft

I have created a draft standalone article for Della Duck at Draft:Della Duck. It covers more than just the 2017 DuckTales series since technically the character has existed before and outside of this show, but since most of the character development at this point comes from DuckTales, I figured people here would still be interested in it. Danazar (talk) 03:02, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

Comictales

i sujest we use https://www.comics.org/issue/1738357/ to created a short summary of each iusse.unfountly i not good at doing this does anyone think they could try and fo it. Fanoflionking 19:53, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Too hard to do without either WP:COPYVIO or close paraphrasing which is the same thing. Best is to create a totally original summary from examining the original material itself. Geraldo Perez (talk) 20:29, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Categories

I have purged the category list of categories that are not supported by what is in the article. Mostly genres that are not mentioned in the infobox or lead. Whether or not this is a children's series is not mentioned in the article either. WP:CATVER and WP:NOTDEFINING are the MOS reasons for this. Before adding a category make sure the article supports it. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:20, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

As a personal observation, this looks to be more of a general audience series that appeals to all age groups. I don't see indications in sources or the article that it is specifically targeted to children, the appeal looks to be larger than that. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:29, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Tense when writing plots descriptions

WP:FICTENSE says "write about fiction using the historical present tense, not the past tense" Geraldo Perez (talk) 23:19, 4 July 2020 (UTC)

Missing award (won)

One award won by the show is missing. It won the a "Silver Award" for "Integrated Mobile Experience" at the Davey Awards in 2018 as seen here, the official website, or here, the IMDbb website. I hope someone will read this and I hope I did help. Loveraholic (talk) 00:07, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
