good sources[edit]

hi guys,

trying to improve this section but having trouble finding good sources. Rudin's functional analysis (chapter 4) isn't bad, but it's more about Banach spaces and dual spaces.

it's possible one could "cobble together" a definition from Rudin's discussion, but i find it lacking. i tried finding a copy of Pavel Aleksandrov's combinatorial topology (volume three seems really really nifty), to no avail.

wondering if anyone here has some good recommendations for books touching on functional analysis and duality? @Zfeinst: (never thought i'd see this day, did you? lollll): got any good recommendations?

any advice would be great. right now this section is poorly sourced, and if i wasn't familiar with the concept (i learned them through Fenchel conjugates), i would have put a request for deletion (exaggerating, sorta).

A first source that I have open in front of me right now is "Infinite Dimensional Analysis" by Aliprantis and Border (3rd Ed., Section 6.3: p. 230-232). Once I get to my office I might be able to give more references, as I'll have more books to glance at. Also I agree that this page needs a lot of improvement. Would not have even thought to look here if it weren't for you @174.3.155.181:. I'd like to think we can have a difference of opinion on some topics while still having respect and discourse. @Zfeinst: thanks man. i'll check it out soon and hopefully i can bounce around from there using any references in the back of the book. if you want to make some edits you can go ahead. thanks again man. 174.3.155.181 (talk) 17:36, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
