No need to delete, it is quite prevalent, particularly among college aged young adults...

Take a look at the case of Pat O'Brien (television) (born 1948), sports commentator and television host who currently hosts The Insider (TV newsmagazine) and former host of Access Hollywood. [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] 69.167.102.181

Oddly, none of the five links mentioned in connection with Pat O'Brien actually seems to mention him (someone correct me if I'm wrong!). I had checked them because he is mentioned in the article, but there is no reference provided so far. Obviously we all know the story at the moment, but years from now, it may be less familiar and we need to provide sources for that reason, if for no others. I'll keep looking. My additions to this article were reverted because I included a link pertaining to:
Apparently wj32 believes that I am promoting the site, attempting to attract attention, or spamming wikipedia. I assure you that none are true; I simply added this link as an example of drunk dialing. I feel as though the link does not need to stay; however the other edits, such as categories, should remain. 69.167.102.181

The thedrunkendialer.com website does not actually inform readers about the phenomenon the way that newspaper articles do. It's similar to adding links to galleries of pictures, which we usually avoid. Furthermore, the one call I listened to on that site had apparently been recorded without the knowledge or consent of the drunken person. That's both unethical and potentially illegal. I don't see enough benefit to including it. -Will Beback · · 00:52, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I also note that you've added the link to 44 talk pages. Not spam? Hmmm. -Will Beback · · 01:02, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can not attest to whether or not concent was recieved from the callers prior to the posting of their voicemails, I have no knowledge of how sites are rated in terms of notability for traffic, and I don't feel compelled to re-add the link to this article. The actual page has changed quite a bit since I initially included it into the article, many pages are missing, I suspect a server crash, however prior to the changes, many fantastic examples were listed upon that page. 69.167.97.81

OK, so it sounds like the issue is settled. -Will Beback · · 08:56, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The issue over the submitting the link is over, our conversation is not as far as I am concerned. You are missing the point, I am not prolonging this dialog with you over the link, I am discussing your disposition, and what your thinking is behind such scenarios! 69.167.97.81
Fine. What isn't clear about my previous comments? -Will Beback · · 09:55, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think you both need to relax. (Arbitration) 69.165.187.96 12:18, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am relaxed! 69.167.97.81
