Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. – Þjarkur (talk) 19:51, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 18 August 2020[edit]

Due to the current events of Dream11 sponsoring the Indian Premier League the page is facing heavy editing. Most appear to be disruptive. It would be great if it were Semi-protected. Agastya11 (talk) 11:09, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback of misleading information[edit]

Dream 11 Gaming Zone appears to have been founded by the three people currently listed in the article before being dissolved, "DREAM SPORTS FOUNDATION" was founded by two of the original founders, I can understand why you might want the article to be updated, however I don't agree with erasing one of the original founders for not currently being involved. Greyjoy talk 09:27, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Greyjoy, I am adding two links for your reference. https://about.dream11.in/about-us & https://www.google.com/search?q=Owners+of+dream11&oq=Owners+of+dream11&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i10l5.5148j1j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 . https://www.tofler.in/dream-sports-foundation/company/U74999MH2016NPL281820 - Kindly check the above links for your information.

The Dream 11 website is a primary source, Wikipedia prefers to use reliable secondary sources such as the ones currently listed, google searches are not considered reliable sources. Greyjoy talk 09:43, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Duly noted Greyjoy, The website being the apex / primary source of information has no mention of Varun Daga. I request you to consider a rollback so as to return the page to its true self.

Greyjoy, kindly also note that Dream11 was founded in 2008. Information in the website added for reference by the IP address says that it was incorporated in 2014. Kindly rollback the reversals as requested to its original self. Attaching reliable secondary source for your reference - https://pitchbook.com/profiles/company/86107-24#overview

The article currently says that it was founded in 2008 so I am not sure what you are referring to. The Dream11 website is a primary source, Wikipedia prefers to use reliable secondary sources such as the ones currently being used to list founders. As such I will not be reverting this change. I am not sold on the reliability of Pitchbook as a source. Greyjoy talk 10:09, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Which article are you considering as a reliable source of information pertaining to the promoters of the page?

Hey Greyjoy, I have been following this discussion since yesterday and would like to add that Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth are the only two co-founders of Dream11. Also, out of the links added for reference, only one link mentions that Varun Daga is one of the founders. The article by Bangalore Mirror doesn't seem reliable since they have erroneously written the name of one of the actual founders as Bhavik Seth, when it should be Bhavit Sheth. Such silly mistakes can't occur from a credible source and I am confident that this particular article is backed by poor research and again the article has quoted Harsh Jain saying that they worked together which does not constitute that Varun Daga is one of the founders of Dream11. The other two articles by Yahoo news and Scroll does not mention Varun Daga as the co-founder, its only Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth. So adding Varun as one of the founders of Dream11 would be a serious case of misinformation. Fantasy Champion (talk) 11:33, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Had a re-read and your points about the Yahoo news and Scroll appear to be correct, I must have been pretty tired when I looked at them, feel free to remove Daga as a founder. Side note "Such silly mistakes can't occur from a credible source" is not accurate, even the most reliable of sources can make typos. Greyjoy talk 12:39, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done I’m marking the Edit Request as accepted, as it seems to have been edited back in late January. Ferkijel (talk) 21:20, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting rollback of recent changes by anonymous user[edit]

Team, there have been changes that were made to the Dream11 article with no links for reference and no explanation on as to why they were made. Requesting moderators to issue a rollback on these changes. RohitSridhar1994 (talk) 18:12, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a persistent attempt to keep changing the information on this article by Anonymous users / IP addresses. Calling out to the IPs involved in this article to respond to this section. (Second attempt) RohitSridhar1994 (talk) 07:36, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You obviously have a conflict of interest on this article. There is no other way two WP:SPAs would be immediately notified of every single edit made on this article. See WP:COI and WP:OWN. 2405:201:D002:3B6F:F834:5EB1:E971:2E42 (talk) 08:48, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I speak for myself here when I say that this article is on my watchlist. Edits made through all IP addresses are coming to me as email notifications. Now since have finally established contact with each other, I'd like to understand what is the reason for all these random edits? I think the name and location change make sense, but I don't seem to understand why you've removed the sports that Dream11 offers? RohitSridhar1994 (talk) 09:25, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How are my edits random? READ the edit summaries and the linked policies. If removal of sports is your only concern, why mass revert all other edits? Dream11 seems to have other sports on its platform such as baseball, volleyball, handball and American football [1]. Regardless of that, listing all the sports can be seen as promotional per WP:PROMO. 2405:201:D002:3B6F:F834:5EB1:E971:2E42 (talk) 09:46, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I stand corrected. Believe that we can come to a consensus about the edits and let them stay the way they are. Appreciate that you honored my request to talk this out and come to a mutual agreement. Will do a thorough read-up about the policies that you have shared with me so that I can be better informed in the future. Cheers RohitSridhar1994 (talk) 14:05, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
