Livin' A Dream Poem[edit]

I decided to delete the poem from the page because it seemed a little extraneous. I left the fact that it was indeed a poem from Livin' A Dream. I just feel like that wall of text is a bit much and unnecessary.

Also, are those even 100% the correct lyrics? It's better then what I've been able to decipher, but some of the word choices just seem totally wrong.

Here Comes The Hot Stepper Cover/Single[edit]

Dr. Dog released a cover of the song Here Comes The Hotstepper by Ini Kamoze in August of 2021. This should be added in the article under discography.

What's this about Dale Earnhardt?[edit]

A 17:23, 18 February 2016 edit by 45.23.75.121 (no other edits from that IP) stated that Dale Earnhardt was a Past Member and that he played mouth harp and referee whistle. This edit has persisted to this day. I highly doubt that the NASCAR driver who died in 2001 had any affiliation with this band, nor could I find any source that anyone with the same name (or even anyone who used it as a pseudonym) ever played mouth harp or referee whistle for Dr. Dog. Undoing this edit. Ohmahjah (talk) 04:20, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Here Comes The Hotstepper[edit]

hello, somebody keeps removing the section that mentions their cover of the hotstepper, why? Why is this person trying to pour beer on my head and telling me it's raining, i have made the effort to add sources and basic research will show that the cover DOES EXIST!! Can we please get this person to stop, as they are being ignorant and trying to say something doesn't exist because of a bad source that has now been fixed BrightenRichardsDraper (talk) 00:43, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@BrightenRichardsDraper: Hi! I'm fairly certain I am the person you describe and I appreciate you opening this discussion, but I think you're confused. I am, like you, convinced that a certain cover the song does indeed exist. However, existence does not prove notability. If you can find coverage of this cover in reliable, secondary sources, then you should add it to this discussion. However, a YouTube link to a performance is insufficient to register the encyclopedic character of this cover. As is a Spotify link (outside of verifying track listings, Spotify should be avoided as a source altogether). Best, ~ Pbritti (talk) 00:52, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
