Issues with Early Life section[edit]

Donna Reed also lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 1980s. That was not even mentioned! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CE82:C240:B033:34EB:BBE2:26CE (talk) 21:52, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Early Life section states that "Reed planned to become a teacher, but was unable to pay for college." It then goes on to say, "She decided to move to California to attend Los Angeles City College on the advice of her aunt." There is no explanation of how she could afford to move to California and attend Los Angeles City College if she was unable to pay for college. There also are no references for the claims that she "planned to become a teacher, but was unable to pay for college," that she moved to Los Angeles "on the advice of her aunt," or that while performing "in various stage productions" while in college she "had no plans to become an actress." "Adams" a German surname?[edit]

Under the heading "Career", the first sentence states "Reed made her film debut in The Get-Away...she was billed as Donna Adams. MGM soon changed her name to Donna Reed, as there was anti-German feeling during World War II." (emphasis mine) There is a citation listed for this, but since it's from a book that cannot be accessed on-line, it's not possible to see exactly how it supports the notion that the actress' surname change related to "anti-German feelings", given that "Adams" is not a German surname. Can anyone explain? Bricology (talk) 20:17, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
