Problems[edit]

I see a few problems with the information in this article. First, this is entirely a joint album by June Christy and Bob Cooper, with Cooper's "instrumental group" playing on half the selections, without June. So it's not simply a "June Christy album". And the personnel on the instrumental selections is somewhat different, and I do not see those musicians listed here. That the drummer on the instrumentals is Mel Lewis would suggest a different recording date. I have a reprint of the vinyl album, but doesn't help much, showing only a (possibly mistaken) copyright of "1960". Where does the February 6, 1961, recording date come from? I'll try to fix what I can when I get the chance (don't have the time now), but maybe someone else (Thumper2, hopefully, so far the only editor of this page) can do it sooner. --Alan W (talk) 19:17, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your first point - I don't say that it is "simply a June Christy album" but is is "album by June Christy and Bob Cooper". The (June Christy album) is merely a link to differentiate from all the other Do-Re-Mi possible links, Putting 'Do-Re-Mi (June Christy and Bob Cooper album)' is rather long-winded. The personnel listed is really for the June Christy vocal tracks - I should have made that clear. I will correct that later. The recording date is taken from the 'June Christy Discography at 'http://www.belten.freeserve.co.uk/misty/disco.htm' (Part 23).Thumper2 (talk) 22:29, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, that is a good point, about "June Christy and Bob Cooper album" being long-winded. I guess it can be left as is, at least for now. We may find out more about such long names eventually, and what the rules are.
But the personnel for the orchestral part should be listed too (this article is on the album, not just the June Christy part of it). I can't help thinking that there is a different recording date for those tunes. Not sure how to put in the recording date for those if you don't know it. I'll think of something if you can't find it. If you don't want to add the additional personnel, etc., I will be happy to do that. Regards, Alan W (talk) 22:37, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
