alternate ending?[edit]

On October 12, 2014, TCM showed an 'alternate ending' for Dinner at Eight. Unfortunately, I did not see how the clip started, but it ended with banter among the attending dinner guests not seen in the original. Then, when it is announced that dinner is ready, all the guests break into a gallop for the dining room (no further dialogue, not even the priceless exchange between Harlow and Dressler). According to TCM's schedule, Dinner at Eight did not play that night. What did play was Come to Dinner, a short spoof/parody of Dinner at Eight using look-alike actors. If anyone's interested, Come to Dinner is on YouTube. – JBarta (talk) 04:44, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just enjoyed that youtube version - I only saw the last two minutes of it on TCM, but still chagrined that I didn't immediately recognize that the actors were different in one of my favorite movies!
