Why Diesel?[edit]

This article might be better if it stated what was gained or lost by choosing Diesel over gasoline or alcohol. Was there a breakthrough in 2006 which allowed Diesel to be a better choice than in earlier years? Fotoguzzi (talk) 14:18, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of Dakar?[edit]

VW claimed the first ever Diesel-powered victory at the Dakar in 2009 and also won in 2010 and 2011 with their Diesel Touareg. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.250.18.21 (talk) 10:14, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
