“classified as a crown group”[edit]

What is the significance of the text “classified as a crown group” here? If I understand the definition of “crown group” correctly, then any existing clade is a crown group. Even if that definition should mean that it only applies to clades for which at least one stem group has been identified, that would probably include many families, which leaves little significance to this statement; it would be much more helpful then to simply mention a stem group. ◅ Sebastian 08:02, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
