"Desmosomes are molecular complexes of cell adhesion proteins and linking proteins that attach the cell surface adhesion proteins to intracellular keratin cytoskeletal filaments." I disagree. I think that 'intracellular filaments' would a more accurate and inclusive end to this sentence. Keratin is not the only IF linked to desmosomes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DanMcScience (talkcontribs) 01:43, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What "These proteins can bind in a W, S, or λ manner." this means? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.6.152.93 (talk) 08:52, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ask your instructor to explain the text. This is not the place for physiology lectures.--Quisqualis (talk) 06:18, 30 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the Desmo- means 'bond or chain' not band.

Weird code at beginning of article[edit]

The article starts with several lines of some sort of code or metadata not meant to be displayed as text. Take a look and you’ll immediately see what I mean. Delysiderata (talk) 12:13, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
