Too busy in Follyfoot?

In this article Q's absence from Live and Let die is explained as he was busy filming a tv series called Follyfoot. I have read on IMDB (trivia for the world is not enough) that he wasn't cast in the film as it was decided to reduce the influence of gadgetry in the bond series. Who's right?

In "The Bond Files" it is stated that the absense of Q was an attempt to distance the film from the previous films - hence why there is no scene in M's office, Bond never orders a Martini (shaken or otherwise), he never wears a tuxedo, smokes cigars &etc. (Callum J. Just read his last interview, where he states the opposite was true. He was actually written out of Follyfoot for a couple of episodes because the writers expected he would be needed for the Bond film. Llewelyn says that he was furious when he wasn't cast because he preferred Follyfoot anyway (which is fair enough - it was a better role).--Tuzapicabit (talk) 18:25, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Couple of points

Llewelyn appeared as Q, the quartermaster of the MI6 gadget lab (aka Q branch), in every Bond film, except Live and Let Die (1973).

This is obviously incorrect since he died in 1999 - he couldn't have appeared in every Bond film, unless he appears in flashbacks during Die another Day and the follow-up. Also it mentions that his wife died due to his death - how is this? It says he was driving alone in the car. If he died on 19 December 1999 it must have been very shortly afterwards, but it might need explaining how his death caused hers in the appropriate section.--Tuzapicabit (talk) 13:13, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Name pronunciation

Is there any evidence that he pronounced his name /luˈɛlɪn/? I have no doubt that most non-Welsh people do, but I'd be a little surprised if that's how a Newport boy (who, I understand, very much considered himself a Welshman) would pronounce it.
