Attribution of Green Arrow illustration incorrect[edit]

This image is not from Green Lantern/Green Arrow #85, and is clearly not by Neal Adams, even though it may have been attributed that way in the source, (DC Comics Guide to Writing Comics).

It looks like it may be by Dick Dillin, perhaps with Frank Giacoia providing the inks. It may be from an issue of Justice League of America from shortly after the Denny O'Neil/Neal Adams run on GL/GA, probably a flashback to the story from issues #85 and #86. —The preceding comment was added by kevrhon (talk) 20:29, 6 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dennyoneil.png[edit]

Image:Dennyoneil.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

WikiProject Comics B-Class Assesment required[edit]

Done - there is a big header asking for for more references and the referencing is thin so I've bumped it down to a C for now. Feel free to drop me a note when you think this has been addressed and I'll coem back and pass it or check through and flag any statements that I think need sources (there are too many to flag at the moment without making the article look a mess). Speedyjunk.jpg[edit]

Someone posted at File talk:Speedyjunk.png saying that the image (used in the Charlton and DC Comics section of the article) is not by Neal Adams as it says in the caption. This blog-radio interview is nearly 2 1/2 hours long; you'd need to give a timestamp for your claim, since the WP:BURDEN is on each editor who wants to add content, and it's unreasonable to expect another person to go through an audio that long to verify your claim. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:48, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Quick fail

FlairTale After further consideration, I'm going to quick fail this. Wikipedia:Good_article_criteria gives five reasons why an article can be failed without further review (known as a quick fail):

  • It is a long way from meeting any one of the six good article criteria
  • It contains copyright violations

The second of the GA criteria is that "A Good Article is... verifiable with no original research:...

d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism."

Given the examples highlighted above, I believe the article is a long way from meeting the requirement about containing no no copyright violations or plagiarism. I'm happy to discuss this further on the article's talk page. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 13:54, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
