This needs a diagram, at the very least. (Experiment123)

Isn't Denjoy counterexample more common? Maybe we can create an article on circle diffeomorphisms with results by Denjoy, Herman, Hill, the renormalization group analysis, Arnold tongues, ...  — XaosBits 03:42, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I had always heard "denjoy diffeomorphism" but it looks like it's called both, judging from a google search. (and heaven help us, Wikipedia is already the first result for "denjoy diffeomorphism"!) Whichever way we name the official article we should probably have a redirect page.
I agree that a general article about circle diffeomorphisms would be helpful. There is an article on Circle maps but it's very skewed to the Arnol'd example. --Experiment123 21:33, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, it seems that the "Denjoy example" name for this example is more common (for instance, see "Introduction to the modern theory of dynamical systems" of Katok and Hasselblatt), so maybe it worth renaming... And yes, it would be a good idea to write down the Poicare classification + Denjoy theorem + Denjoy examples (upgraded by Herman) --Burivykh (talk) 10:36, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See the new version of Rotation number. I propose redirecting this page there, unless someone is willing to write a detailed article explaining Denjoy's example. Arcfrk (talk) 08:50, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Denjoy's conjecture?[edit]

Shoulds Denjoy's conjecture redirect here? -- Petri Krohn (talk) 13:17, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
