CIA Factbook[edit]

What year are represented in the section? 2002 in the headline, 2016 by archived link and 2020 by real-time link. And this data has no information about "100% Georgians". CickSlowUnion (talk) 11:54, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow it was a mix of different years ("estimates" until 2007), while most properties are readily available through other tables in this page from reliable sources etc. That is one of the reasons why I have issues with maintaining the section on the page. Second reason is that the old data presented cannot be verified as the reference points to the current site/data. Thirdly, even when changing the section title and updating the properties to 2021 numbers, referring to CIA world factbook when they nowadays indicate a population "estimate" for 2021 of 4.9 million people raises a major question to their overall reliability. Mentioning it would equal to validating it. I have therefore removed the section as it does not add anything new or significant that we miss on this page, apart maybe from HIV numbers (can be found through other ways anyways). --Labrang (talk) 14:09, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
