Separate show?[edit]

Is this like the transition between Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High, where a new successor series is created? Or is it like the transition between Degrassi and Degrassi: The Next Generation, where no new article was created? -- 70.51.202.183 (talk) 05:57, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because:

This is a viable search term, it should just redirect to Degrassi: The Next Generation, if it isn't a separate show, as it already is mentioned there as a name; and if it is determined that this is a separate series the same way that Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High are separate series articles, then this article should remain.

Either way, this doesn't qualify for deletion. Either it is an article, or it is a redirect.

Does this count as a Netflix show?[edit]

I've started a discussion at Talk:List of original programs distributed by Netflix#Degrassi: Next Class regarding its inclusion there, and the outcome should define how we categorise and deal with this article. --Rob Sinden (talk) 10:01, 19 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This should be merged with "Degrassi: The Next Generation" page[edit]

While Netflix pathetically is marketing this as a new show, it was not intended to be such. For one, the episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 were filmed while the show was temporarily cancelled and if you pay attention to the ending credits, the show lists "BASED ON THE ORIGINAL SERIES: DEGRASSI JUNIOR HIGH AND DEGRASSI HIGH". It doesn't list "DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION" in there, so this is clearly still the same show, just with "New Class" added to the title like how TNG was still as such when it dropped "THE NEXT GENERATION" from the title. I don't see why we should even bother going by Netflix's stupid marketing. Plus, the show has the same theme song as TNG. A different incarnation would also mean different theme song to differentiate the shows from each other. - Jabrona (talk) 00:14, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian Episodes for Season 4[edit]

Just noticed that Season 4 for Canada has it all released on June 30th, and while this is true is is also airing like the previous seasons (July 3rd to July 14th), how do we want to format this? --QueerFilmNerd (talk) 06:54, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
