Maus river-crossing tactic that is similar to deep wading

The Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus uses a method of crossing rivers in which it drives on the bottom of the river and receives air from a snorkel while being powered by another Maus while it was crossing. After it crosses the river, the other Maus would cross using the same method, except that the Maus that had already crossed the river would be supplying power to the other Maus.

Quoting from the Wikipedia Page Panzer VIII Maus: "The Maus was too heavy to cross bridges. As a result an alternative system was developed, where the Maus would instead ford the rivers it needed to cross. Due to its size it could ford relatively deep streams, but for deeper ones it was to submerge and drive across the river bottom. The solution required tanks to be paired up. One Maus would supply electrical power to the crossing vehicle via a cable until it reached the other side. The crew would receive air through a large snorkel, which was long enough for the tank to go 45 feet (13 m) under water."

This method of crossing rivers is fairly similar to deep wading, the only main differences that the Maus had to work in pairs, one supplying power to the other while the other was crossing the river, and that it could not work for amphibious landings.

I propose that this should be included in this article.
