Comments[edit]

Hi there. An anonymous user has been repeatedly deleting the decal definition, and along with it all the metadata about the article's categories, alternate language links, Wiktionary entry, etc. Perhaps you didn't mean to do this. Can you discuss your suggested edit here, on this talk page? Thank you. Anirvan 16:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the bit about Decal meaning 'Death Calculator' - sounds like a folk etymology to me; I can't find anything on the web about it, nor was any source cited for it.added the bit about decal.co.uk cos it sounds good

Industry knowledge[edit]

I own a vinyl decal shop, and have been doing decals for about 6 years now. I know a lot about the process and can contribute to this article, but I don't have references, all my knowledge is just what I have picked up from experience. How do I include this in the article? I don't care which name is used, but the topic is the same.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 03:32, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rather than merging, the page should probably be expanded to include other types of decals, such as dry transfers, with redirection to the appropriate pages. These are all different technologies and merging the page into the one for self-adhesive stickers means mixing two totally different subjects with different applications.Raptoremilio (talk) 04:21, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fake 'Tattoos'[edit]

I would have expected a sentence (and picture(s)) about "fake tattoos" – they were quite popular in the 1990ies and are still sold (as 'temporary tattoos', but they are no tattoos at sll, but, in my understanding, decals) – Aren't they decals ??? 2A02:3031:13:2281:1:2:32B2:3F8B (talk) 13:22, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
