Title[edit]

Something isn't sitting right with me about her title in the info box referring to her as Dowager Duchess of Devonshire. Surely this is now incorrect as since her death, no such person exists.

I have not changed this, but i'm pretty sure this is incorrect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.169.158.51 (talk) 10:37, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Chatsworth Cookery Book - large.jpg[edit]

Image:Chatsworth Cookery Book - large.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"Deborah Devonshire"???[edit]

Bizarrely, an FT article refers to her as "Deborah Devonshire."

And it appears from this review that the cover of her memoir Wait for Me likewise has her name as "Deborah Devonshire."

What on earth is up with that?

Its farily common that those not wanting to always use their full title instead use the area part of their title like a surname. Another example would be Johnny Bute. RafikiSykes (talk) 10:48, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sitter for Lucian Freud[edit]

Could it be added somewhere that she sat for Lucian Freud? I saw her portrait at the National Portrait Gallery, and it is extraordinary. Also she talks about her experience in the 2004 BBC TV show "Imagine... Sitting for Lucian Freud". Crazy Eddy (talk) 22:26, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
