Please consider renaming the article per WP:EN. Few people will be looking for the untranslated slogan. Kind regards, Pim Rijkee (talk) 19:02, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

origin of the phrase[edit]

I couldn't verify the IMDB bio tidbit elsewhere with a quick Google. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 19:58, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Remove "Russian warship, go fuck yourself"[edit]

I am not the person in edit war but I agree it should be removed. The "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" is a quote while "Death to fascism, freedom to the people" was a slogan used by the Yugoslav Partisan movement. The later was repeated often and used as a greeting between partisan while Russian warship, go fuck yourself was used once and is associated with the event on Snake Island. Even when you look at Russian warship, go fuck yourself#Similar quotes you will see similar quotes that are in different in context to Death to fascism, freedom to the people. Both of these quotations underwent widespread adoption as slogans after being defiant last words of members of a resistance to occupation (well, it was believed at least that the Snake Island soldiers were dead afterwards). While contexts wildly vary, I believe there is merit in inclusion. –Vipz (talk) 13:11, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
