Comment[edit]

A good article to have. There is much about his death, from drug use to reactions. Whiskeymouth (talk) 04:09, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Whiskeymouth; Drug abuse doesn't warrant someone their own article. In fact, the creation of this article was before his complete autopsy and its wayyyyyyy (with 7 y's) WP:TOOSOON to say what caused his death. With an easy search the news will tell you it may take days or weeks to determine the full cause of death. You can't go on a limb and say his death was important or made a big impact. Help[edit]

I have started an outline and listed several sources. Help me write this. Purple Showers (talk) 18:13, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What is it about? Brodywitta (talk) 22:17, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be deleted[edit]

This article should be deleted. Death of Prince is already on the Prince Wikipedia entry. This sentence alone is full of grammatical errors- April 7 Atlanta concert, flu and ban on photos and video complicate documentation of Prince as well as party in Minnesota. This sentence is terrible too. For some reason this sentence starts with a Comma- , at 9:43 a.m., the Carver County Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 phone call from an unidentified male, requesting an ambulance to Prince's home and reporting, at first, that Prince was unconscious, and then (in the same call) that he was dead. Also use the word Deceased, not dead. I'm not going to bother fixing anything because this article will be deleted anyway. 2601:483:101:9BDD:6882:19B3:F900:F6D8 (talk) 22:17, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Huh? Brodywitta (talk) 22:21, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can't agree with deletion[edit]

This information should be kept and honed as the details of his death become more clear. I don't need to know what Justin Bieber said about it though. But at this time it isn't entirely clear what the cause is. The main article has a good deal of information. Maybe keep the best bits only. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.114.1.204 (talk) 16:52, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted Westboro Content[edit]

Deleted the Westboro Baptist Church content as it did not seem relevant to the rest of the content in the heading under which it was placed. It has been deleted before, and I don't want to participate in an edit war, but their plans to protest the funeral don't seem particularly relevant to the article and serve more to further their agenda than add to details about Prince's death.99.249.172.3 (talk) 17:52, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

AIDS[edit]

His article mentions zero about his battle with AIDS, despite it being on the news now. / Wikipedia. :-) PeterMan844 (talk) 12:11, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"despite it being on the news" Cite please, PeterMan844. -- WV 03:47, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The news will share anything. There currently hasn't been an official confirmation of his death by AIDS. Irbananaking (talk) 19:54, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a mouthpiece of organizations. Wikipedia does not just release official press releases. Otherwise, we would report that North Korea is paradise. However, the stigma of AIDS is very great and even though BLP doesn't apply as Prince is dead, I would like to see a little more reported first. Eventually, you may be right and an AIDS section may be good for this article. Whiskeymouth (talk) 02:47, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"BLP doesn't apply as Prince is dead" Incorrect. BLP guidelines apply to articles up to two years after the article subject has died. -- WV 03:47, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. We have to respect the rules. PeterMan844 (talk) 20:35, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
