Untitled[edit]

Deadweight has nothing to do with Tonnage. It is a weight measure for the items that do not make up the ship itself.

how much does the the ship weigh and how long did they have it for —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.79.1.163 (talk) 19:46, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 4 April 2019[edit]

I have seen the whole "Nero from DMC" thing being removed, and while I understand why this may have seemed like vandalism, please understand that as of DMC5, it -has- become an integral part of Nero's character, in terms of both identity and plot. In-game, he is called "dead weight" very early on by Dante (the second big protagonist and series mains character) and resents the latter over it throughout the majority of the story.

The fact that it was added to this page was not for the sake of memes, it is literally associated with the character in utmost importance. Making this page semi-protected over assumed "trolling" because of a lack of information from moderation is utterly petty when the addition is unanimously agreed on. There is no reason why this page shouldn't mention Nero, especially since Dante's "dead weight" quip was a big marketing push for the game in the first place, ever since the earliest leaks and the third major trailer. 96.127.235.174 (talk) 04:18, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: as it isn't even mention on the character's Wikipedia article. Also seems unlikely that one come to this page looking for that character. – Þjarkur (talk) 13:26, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It is completely not associated with the character, it was an insult toward the character within the game. Insults, don't belong on here. Insults are not names of characters. It is entirely a meme, and you are entirely trolling, we have already been messaged about the Devil May Cry subreddit, and the agenda there to vandalize this page by editing memes in. https://www.reddit.com/r/DevilMayCry/comments/b6yl7j/getting_banned_for_editing_the_deadweight/

Troll editing to defame characters and or people you don't like are not acceptable submissions, no matter how hard you try the submissions will continue to be removed. You've been at this for 2 whole months, it's clear your intentions are not to properly provide information on a character, but simply write mocks ups for said character. The entire wiki page to this "Nero" character was recently entirely edited with his name replaced with "Deadweight", most likely you. I suggest, growing up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jessiluvvv (talkcontribs) 12:23, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
