General Issues[edit]

de BARRY this name dose not exist .anywhere in the world ...the name is (de Barra ) Why is this page still up in the public view with an incorrect name ?? please have this changed . (----)

It may not exist now, but it certainly existed with the founders. Name change over time. This article is confined to the founding ancestors of the name. At the time they spoke Norman French, not English or Irish. The article name reflects that historical reality. Laurel Lodged (talk) 23:08, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if applicable, but the name is certainly still in use in the USA — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdebarry (talkcontribs) 17:59, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistency within Wikipedia[edit]

This page and the page Earl of Barrymore stae different facts about the barony of Barry (Baron Barry)and the viscountcy of Buttevant (Viscount Buttevant), e.g. when and for whom the titles were created.--78.51.166.12 (talk) 23:07, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
