Renaming of former Concourse C to A

Per this diff, the former Concourse C was renamed "Concourse A". This is reflected in the airport website, but I haven't found a press release or news article announcing this change. Do such exist? --Chaswmsday (talk) 11:53, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Location of airport

Despite not being contiguous to the rest of Dayton, the airport was physically annexed into the city in the 1980s. Earlier enabling legislation by the state allowed Dayton and similarly-situated municipalities to annex non-contiguous municipally-owned airports. Best addressed in airport's own website; my search for the corresponding legislation or an online reference to the long-ago annexation having borne little fruit. --Chaswmsday (talk) 00:29, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

Re continuing edits, the airport is NOT in Vandalia. In fact, it never was in Vandalia; prior to being annexed into Dayton, the airport was located in Butler Township. --Chaswmsday (talk) 21:55, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

With all due respect - I'm thinking we need an admin ruling then..because my repeated points and questions, including official references/citations remain unanswered, or even addressed. Can someone then please explain why the airport's OFFICIAL address according to them and the USPS is both Vandalia and the Vandalia zip code?.. And why, too, the city of Vandalia's official website and chamber also claim the airport within their limits?.. And when I telephoned an airport official to try and get resolution on this topic, he too (rather bluntly) stated, "We're located on the outskirts north of Daton, in Vandalia. You can find the address and directions to the terminal on our website or just go to Google". Additionally, I have two more 'official/primary-source' references available to Admin upon request, for a total of five corroborating official sources. Sorry. USPS designations have no standing just about anywhere in Wikipedia. Both Dayton's and Vandalia's websites confirm the entire airport is in the city of Dayton. We always go by official city limits (in this case verifiable on Google Maps). They always override postal and ZIP boundaries. HkCaGu (talk) 01:05, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

Again with all respect, it's almost funny (as in an illogical way) how an official government entity who's JOB it is to deal with the logistics of location (the USPS) has no standing or merit in Wikipedia, yet GOOGLE is the go-to-all official source..Lol. But anyhow, I'm not going off of merely a zip code, I'm going off of the airport manager, the airport's own bio, the city of Vandalia, the FAA, the USGS, official county cartography, as well as a gathering of other secondary resources. So we must be looking at different airport and Vandalia City websites then cause they both clearly and prominently state/display their presence and address in Vandalia. Also just as a side point, even with your belief of location being accurate, the airport is still ALOT closer to Vandalia than Daton. So once again, I am requesting some sort of dispute resolution, which obviously isn't going to happen here or by looking at the sources provided and seeing what's there. I am placing a request for mediation now rather than later as the email responses I have from the Airport and FAA are time-sensitive. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. This has nothing to do with "sources". It's a matter of "concept"—political boundary versus postal boundary. All sources trace back to either of these concepts. Any source you find that employs the political boundary will make the airport "Dayton". HkCaGu (talk) 16:26, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

"Closer to" is absolutely ridiculous. LAX is not in El Segundo or Inglewood, postally or politically. Denver International is clearly redrawn into Denver County, etc. HkCaGu (talk) 16:28, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
