Comments[edit]

Is Dave half Chinese at all? Just wondering.

I think the article undervalues Dave's contribution to the Chris Moyles show, both in writing, in off the cuff quips and in playing a valuable role in the group dynamic as the Extremely Loyal Mate who always takes Chris' side and refuses to criticize him. The article seems to suggest all he does is the Tedious Link and Let's Get Ready to Ramble.

He is being listed as dead on the Nov 13 page and someone keeps adding a date of death to this page. Is there any reliable confirmation that he is in fact dead? --ukexpat 13:57, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Place of Birth[edit]

The body of the Article lists his place of birth initially as Germany, but the template as Hong Kong. I understood it was Hong Kong Seo01 (talk) 10:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ironic[edit]

What is, by definition, "ironic" about the nickname Comedy Dave? Surely this is too subjective for an encyclopeadic article? Madeinsane (talk) 00:34, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I know this is an old comment, but it's ironic because he isn't very funny, although I can imagine that this would be difficult to prove with sources as you can only tell from listening to the radio shows. Chevymontecarlo 12:26, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Renameing[edit]

I propose the renaming of the article to Dave Vitty for the following reasons:

  • Comerdy Dave is a Nickname not a stage name
  • Outside Radio 1 he is called Dave Vitty
  • Its his Real Name

On Radio 1 he is normally called Comedy Dave or just Dave, However on other things he is normally called Dave Vitty another example is Mark Chapman (broadcaster) C. 22468 (talk) 15:19, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
