Personal information[edit]

Many biographies include some information about the families of the subject of the article. While this Information is often innocuous, many people are becoming concerned about such information due to privacy concerns. we always have to balance the desire to have a more complete discussion of the individual's life against legitimate privacy concerns. That can become especially true when the information being added most beyond mere factual recitation of information about family members and start becoming more gossip, unrelated to the central reason that the subject has a biography.

We don't yet have formal guidelines, but there is an essay which speaks to some of these issues: Wikipedia:On privacy, confidentiality and discretion. I recently removed some material from this article. I request that if editors feel it belongs in the article, that they open up a discussion on this page so that we can reach a consensus rather than simply reverting.--S Philbrick(Talk) 20:53, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

INSERT THE FOLLOWING TEXT AT THE END OF THE 'PERSONAL' SECTION

Between 2002 and 2006 Cameron was married to Australian Olympic skier Zali Steggall. They have two children together[1].

In 2012 Cameron married barrister Bridie Nolan. In April 2019 Cameron and Nolan attracted extensive media attention after they tweeted critical comments about Cameron's ex-wife Zali Steggall, who was campaigning as an independent candidate for the federal seat of Warringah at the time [2] [3] [4] [5].

Suggest the following wording, linking to, and mirroring, the Zali Steggall Wikipedia entry.
Cameron was married to Zali Steggall from September 2002 until 2006. They have two children from their marriage.[1]
Cameron is now married to Sydney barrister Bridie Nolan. B20097 (talk) 04:40, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There being a consensus, with no subsequent discussion or concerns raised, add the two proposed sentences to the article. B20097 (talk) 02:15, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
