I'm just going to go ahead and delete this weird section about how this guy is a "consistent and hard minded champion" of truth and justice or whatever. Is this guy even notable? lws (talk) 22:28, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Allison is generally considered notable in biostatistics and obesity research fields, mostly for his work as a methodologist and for writing on "white hat bias" and other work on false, convenient beliefs about the effects of sugary beverages. It looks like this page has some ongoing vandalism going on related to that latter point; the passage "He is known for his study on the correlation between soft drinks and obesity, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Corporation. Unsurprisingly, his research lead to "zero evidence" of soft drinks carrying a negative impact on your health.", being the obvious one. It probably needs trimming in the Honors and Awards section, too.2001:558:6031:52:1CAA:ED1F:5F97:1B9C (talk) 06:54, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
