executing people in the south?![edit]

Could the reference to the "double hanging" be removed? Or, perhaps better, give some sort of significance to it? Some state held three lethal injections in one day; why isn't the host town famous? --{{User:Coryma}} 23:23, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Named After....?[edit]

Can we say that Darlington, SC was named after the much much larger Darlington in the North of England, UK? Because like most North American towns and cities, I'm pretty sure it will have relations to the town of Darlington in England. If someone could find proof that would be cool. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harrychown (talkcontribs) 00:42, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The last I heard, researchers have not found a reason that Darlington was named Darlington. Most assume that the namer liked the name (Darlington was a "planned" community), but no one has found why. Steven R. (talk) 12:47, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mayo as a Magnet School[edit]

The article says Mayo became a magnet school in 1970. I was in the first class of Mayo HS for MST and attended from 1996-2000. Desegregation in Darlington arguably wasn't achieved until the reorganization of the high schools in that year. 2600:1000:B14A:A611:34BA:17A9:53D:6CDE (talk) 19:02, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
