Maitre de conf translation[edit]

Admittedly the translation of maitre de conf is a thorny question. Most CVs I've seen translate it as assistant professor, in anticipation of becoming a full professor, but that's not applicable here. And senior lecturer isn't quite right either; that position exists in the U.S. but it's actually a promotion above the entry-level, maitre de conf position, and I take it she didn't receive such a promotion beyond matire de conf? So I've changed it to lecturer for now, but I suppose we could also use "tenured lecturer" if anyone thinks that would help clarify the precise status of the job. Thanks!
