Day and time?[edit]

Will the show air in its normal Mon/tues slot or will it be different? With the announcement of Lost and The Forgotten when will DWTS air? Mondays 8-10pm then tues 8pm or Wed 9pm results show?--Cooly123 01:55, 11 February 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talkcontribs)

No idea, wait until they announce it MSalmon (talk) 23:22, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ashly DelGrosso-Costa[edit]

E! News reports she's returning this season. Any corroborating sources?97.100.4.3 (talk) 04:37, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Who Thinks[edit]

Who Thinks that Niecy Nash and Kate Gosselin are going to have a huge smack down? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bkopicz3 (talkcontribs) 23:47, 6 March 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.111.148.203 (talk) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.111.241.250 (talk) [reply]

Pretty much. And it's sad that a great American like Buzz Aldren would come on just to make an ass of himself! Proxy User (talk) 17:22, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Read Wikipedia:NOT#FORUM MSalmon (talk) 23:54, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It does not say anywhere in the article that you may change something on a talk page.--208.111.241.250 (talk) 00:06, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Scores for weeks 1 & 2[edit]

It appears that the scores for weeks 1 and 2 will be combined, any suggestions for this. I have already combined weeks 1 + 2 for the week header but someone keeps changing it. MSalmon (talk) 15:39, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you do it that way, it screws up the sorting, and you can't sort it by the week two or the total scores. It sorts it by the week 1 scores only. THAT is why I keep changing it. Apparently I forgot to mention that. Onesmallnote (talk) 20:17, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why does the table need to be sorted anyway because you can work out who is top and who is bottom? MSalmon (talk) 20:43, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Because people like to see where their favorite stars placed for the week. At least I do. It's convenient. Onesmallnote (talk) 20:58, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Protection Please![edit]

Can somebody protect the article PLEASE? I am so freaking tired of trying to delete all the vandalism. Onesmallnote (talk) 03:17, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request semi protection on the page protection page MSalmon (talk) 09:20, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Averages[edit]

Does anyone think that we should post the average score of the week under the other info in the scoring table? TDI19 (talk) 02:13, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Live Like We're Dying[edit]

Live Like We're Dying is by Kris Allen, not the Script.

It's originally by The Script, although it did sound a bit more like the Kris Allen version to me.97.100.4.3 (talk) 05:07, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

They wrote the song and released it as a b-side to a single in Germany or Netherlands or something, sure, but considering this is a US show and the song is more recognizable as belonging to Kris, then I think the song belongs to him, as far as we're concerned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.236.192.57 (talk) 15:05, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Week 3: Jack and Chelsie's Tango[edit]

The song is "A Girl Like You" by Edwyn Collins, not "Never Met a Girl Like You Before" by Iggy Pop.

Guest dancer[edit]

IDGAF about Dancing with the Stars really, but Tiler Peck of the New York City Ballet will be a guest performer tonight and she should be included under the "Guest Dancers" section. 209.104.239.26 (talk) 13:25, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Incorporating the "double score"[edit]

The average chart is calculated incorrectly. If the Week 4 dance is counted twice, then it counts more than the other dances, which isn't really correct.

If you want the scores to accurately reflect the average performance of each dancer, then each dance should count the same. In other words, first divide the Week 4 scores in half, to put them on the same 30-point scale as the others, and then average the four scores together.

As one example, consider Chad & Cheryl. Their scores were: 18, 16, 20, 21+23. Their average is currently listed as 98/5 = 19.6. Weighting the four dances equally would give 18, 16, 20, 22, or 76/4 = 19.0. Samer (talk) 05:28, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings[edit]

I think it should be included that for the first time ever DWTS beat American Idol in the ratings. And it happened two weeks in a row! OMG —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.125.164.77 (talk) 20:36, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Week 5[edit]

Any news on weather Len and Bruno are in America at the moment due to the ash cloud? MSalmon (talk) 19:26, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Results Show vs. Dancing Show[edit]

Nielsen counts the Monday night and Tuesday night shows as separate, so shouldn't the season average in the Rating section show the average for the reuslts show and the average for the dancing show as different as well? Also, the reuslts show is significantly less highly rated than the dancing show. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.125.164.77 (talk) 03:07, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Average Chart[edit]

The average chart is totally out of whack! Who ever did this should change it fast aiden got 87 not 70.5 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.248.89.208 (talk) 19:59, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As noted above, if you count the numbers as is, then the Week 4 dance counts twice. I suppose that the original totals could be listed, but the current averages kept, but the old averages are nonsensical. Samer (talk) 22:13, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The table needs to be sorted because you don't have half points MSalmon (talk) 22:35, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The average chart has listed that Nicole's best dance was the 60's Paso Doble. That should be changed to 50's.

Week 6: Niecy and Louis' Argentine Tango[edit]

Hey! You've made a mistake!!! The song of Niecy's Argentine Tango is "El Sonido de la Milonga", by Bajofondo, not by Campo NandoHough (talk) 21:50, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In the song lists, all titles and artists are copied from http://abc.go.com/shows/dancing-with-the-stars/episode-guide. There are different versions of songs, so we go by whatever artist the webiste lists. Onesmallnote (talk) 22:02, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Week 7: What is Pam dancing???[edit]

I know Brooke said Pam was doing the samba next week on last night's results show, but Pam's official Twitter is now saying she's doing the waltz. Anyone have anything concrete to support either one? Cespence17 (talk) 16:45, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone will do 1 ballroom and 1 latin dance for weeks 8 and 9. If you calculate it correctly that means Pam needs to do a ballroom dance for week 7 or else she'll be stuck with three latin and 1 ballrom for weeks 8 and 9 and that won't make sense. WALTZ IT IS!
According to reports online, Pamela and Damian have both confirmed that they will have the Samba in Week 8 if they make it through. I would go with Pam's official twitter. Onesmallnote (talk) 22:03, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Evan's Argentine Tango[edit]

Since he went from a 21 to a 30, Evan ties with Mellissa Joan Heart from last season from highest improvement in one week (9 points). This should be noted in the "Notes" section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.125.164.77 (talk) 01:36, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shannen Doherty[edit]

Shannen has had a main role on more than one television show so I think we should call her a television actress like Melissa Joan Hart. Aiden has only had one main role on a show we should leave him as an All My Children star. Sb1990 (talk) 05:12, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of unsourced stats/WP:IINFO[edit]

The dozen or so tables and large amounts of unverified stats were removed in this article and replaced with a table that has clear references to the data inside (with minor exceptions, where noted). Please discuss any issues here rather than reverting/edit warring.
