Untitled[edit]

what is this article about? there were more than 6 episodes of Ali G, and it wasnt aired in the US first, because the entire reason the film worked was no one in america knew who Borat was.

There were indeed more than 6 episodes overall, and that fact is noted in the article (the infobox states 6 for the UK version and 12 for the US) - The show was aired in on HBO in the US (whether it was aired on there before the UK, I don't know off hand) and Borat was definitely known here, but not widely known as HBO isn't widely distributed. S3[edit]

Anyone know if there will be a Season Three, and if so when? If so, add it! --Mister Tattle 06:04, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)

UK title of US version[edit]

In Britain this series is called Ali G in Da USA or Ali G in Da USAiii. That information should be put into the body of the article in the first line, bolded, not just as a redirect. Can someone who actually knows what it's called there add it? Thanks. Moncrief 03:10, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Studio shots, US vs. UK[edit]

I realized I didn't add a summary for deletion of the UK vs US "difference" that incorrectly stated that the US did only on-location shots. The HBO epsodes "Politics" episode featured a DEA agent being interviewed on-set and a number of episodes (see link) provided "roundtable" discussions with Ali G, all on-set. Accent[edit]

Regarding statment in differences between seasons/series (The 3 characters have the same British accent.) As far as i can remember the 3 characters have never had the same accent in the the the first season. I maybe wrong but until this can be proved either way i have removed the statment.

Only one character has a british accent and that is Ali G, the others have a German, and Kazakstani accent.

That's not a 'typical' british accent - 'yoof' or 'street' owes a lot to Jamaica.
Bruno is Austrian - slightly different from German, but I doubt Bruno's accent is any more accurate than his mannerisms.
I doubt Borat has a Kazakh accent - many of his words are Hebrew !

Korki Bucek[edit]

I think this section should be removed as the character has never made an appearance on the series; he is only mentioned in conversation. It also detracts from the other three characters as they are the main characters of the show. WikiFew 21:29, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Respek[edit]

Why does "respek" redirect here? 67.188.172.165 16:41, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Respek is a word Ali G commonly uses. As in "respect," a term used in Eubonics - Pieterkonink 20:11, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DVD[edit]

Many television articles mentions DVD releases. We should do so here. EmpComm 23:09, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just added DVD release tables! :) (Etron81 14:50, 11 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]
I've moved the DVD release tables to their own page as it was getting long... (Etron81 17:50, 9 October 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Andy Rooney[edit]

I think this is argumentative and should not be contained in articles for Ali G or Andy Rooney.--Eyespy100 17:47, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Techno music?[edit]

what type of music or artist is that techno music during Ali G segments?--Sonjaaa 12:06, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bruno.jpg[edit]

Image:Bruno.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:19, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Corky Bucek[edit]

The article on Corky Bucek "was nominated for deletion on 9 June 2006. The result of the discussion was merge with Da Ali G Show." HOWEVER - there is nothing on Corky Bucek on Da Ali G Show article, nor on the Borat or Borat film articles. The result was MERGE, not DELETE. Would someone please fix this? Corky Bucek is mentioned in Ali G, in Borat the film, and on TV appearances by Borat. It is of sufficient significance to appear in at least one of the Borat articles here. (Traveling overseas today or I'd do this myself.) --GeĸrίtzĿ...•˚˚ 11:55, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Laugh track[edit]

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the HBO series does NOT have a laugh track but the Channel 4 series does. Can someone else confirm this and update the article if correct? Thanks, --67.186.130.217 (talk) 20:35, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Channel 4" ??????????[edit]

There is a section that discusses what "is on" channel 4, among other things.

There are many, many channel 4's around the world. In order to be understood, this section should say which channel 4 it is talking about (presumably, in the U.K.). Yes, this can be inferred from context. No, it should not have to be.

Maybe better: Delete this section entirely. Wikipedia does not need to list every television channel and what is scheduled for which channel.2600:1700:E1C0:F340:45B5:9B41:54B:D95E (talk) 19:16, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
