"Technically a novella"[edit]

The first 90% of the lede makes it clear that this is indeed a novella without any doubt. Then we reach the final sentence which reads:

It is King's shortest novel to date at 127 pages, which makes it technically a novella.

Now, it's unclear whether this final (uncited) assertion is merely confused or just an outright contradiction, but let me go ahead and suggest that, when the rest of the lede is happy with it being categorized as a novella, then let it simply stand as a novella. There is no need for this dancing around with "shortest novel" and "technically a novella."

If there is, after all, some doubt, this can be mentioned, with citations. Until such reasonable doubt arises, I shall attempt to make the lede clearer by removing the final hedge.

King's official site calls it a short novel and has it listed under novels: https://stephenking.com/works/novel/cycle-of-the-werewolf.html Jmj713 (talk) 13:21, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you're going to revert it, you should add the citation. Cryptarch (talk) 22:53, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

We need to find a reference on the goal of the book (the article says that it is 'geared towards short story enthusiasts') as well as one on King's supposed admission about changing up the lunar cycle. I didn't see anything on HorrorKing or King's official site. I did get a reference on the original calendar, though. -Elizabennet | talk 17:10, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cycleking.jpeg[edit]

Image:Cycleking.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:22, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
