Athletes participating in multiple events[edit]

Oskar Eriksson, Sweden

Counting athletes multiple times or not[edit]

Looking at the totals and then the actual participants there's inconsistency in that Italy has their male athlete from the mixed doubles and men's team counted only once, but Norway's athlete in the same situation is counted twice, neither country has a female team. Italy is listed as 6 athletes while Norway is at 7 despite them having the exact same amount of physical people. I made it consistent by counting each athlete once only, which in my opinion is the right way to do it. I also adjusted the total accordingly. Novarupta (talk) 11:50, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article rating[edit]

Schierbecker recently changed the rating of this article from A-Class to Start-class. Personally, I disagree with that assessment, so I'd like to obtain consensus here.

I'll start with the B-class criteria. My feelings on each criteria are as follows

The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations. Yes - the article includes references and inline citations
The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies. Yes - it covers all the information expected in an article of this type.
The article has a defined structure. ("Content should be organized into groups of related material, including a lead section and all the sections that can reasonably be included in an article of its kind.") Yes - there is a clear structure that follows other similar articles.
The article is reasonably well-written. ("The prose contains no major grammatical errors and flows sensibly, but it does not need to be "brilliant". The Manual of Style does not need to be followed rigorously.") Yes - the article is well-written, with good prose throughout.
The article contains supporting materials where appropriate. Yes- the articles includes illustrations and tables that enhance the article.
The article presents its content in an appropriately understandable way. Yes - the information is written in plain English that someone not familiar with the details of curling or the Olympics can understand.

In short, I think this article is easily a B-Class article, not a Start-Class article. What do other people think? Tompw (talk) 15:46, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I don't think this article is close to A class. I would start at WP:GAR or more likely WP:PR. A class is basically like a Featured article, and its quite an involved process. Compare to [1]. Schierbecker (talk) 15:59, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
