I am an employee and representative of Cryo-Save. A lot of the info included in this article is out of date and I would like to make the following suggestions to the page. Thank you.:

Cryo-Save Group N.V. is Europe's largest family cord blood bank with over 200,000 samples stored. Driven by its international business strategy, Cryo-Save is now represented in 40 countries, on four continents and has state-of-the-art processing facilities in Belgium, Germany, Dubai, India, France (validation in progress) and South Africa. Cryo-Save sets the highest quality standards in stem cell storage, as it aims to make an important contribution to fight possible life-threatening diseases in the future. The company is committed to improving stem cell cryopreservation techniques by participating in European Commission funded projects, in universities and hospitals. Cryo-Save is a founding member of ITERA and sponsors its annual scientific workshop. [1] The company is listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.[2]

History[edit]

Cryo-Save was founded in 2000. In 2003 the Group changed its name from Cryo-Cell to Cryo-Save. The year second half of the 2000s and especially in 2008 saw a large number of acquisitions which transformed the Dutch company into a global business.

Products and Services[edit]

Cryo-Save offers collection, analysis, processing and cryogenic preservation of three sources of human adult stem cells:

1. Hematopoietic stem cells obtained from the umbilical cord blood (Cryocord)

2. Mesenchymal stem cells obtained from the umbilical cord tissue (Cryocord+)

3. Mesenchymal stem cells obtained from adipose tissue

In August 2011, Cryo-Save launched an adipose tissue stem cell storage service: Cryo-Lip.[3]

Laboratories and Accreditations[edit]

Cryo-Save endeavors to ensure that all its facilities meet the toughest quality standards. All Cryo-Save laboratories are obliged to reach or exceed nationally imposed legal standards in this highly regulated industry. Cryo-Save currently has processing and storage facilities in Belgium, Dubai, Germany, India, France (validation in progress) and South Africa. Cryo-Save is also a member of Cord Blood Europe, a not-for-profit association of family cord blood banks in Europe, founded in 2009.

The following accreditation have been awarded:

Belgium: F.A.G.G., ISO 9001:2008

Dubai: AABB, Clinical Operating License by the Center for Healthcare Planning & Quality

India: ISO 9001:2008, WHO GMP, with AABB, NABH and NABL all in progress

France: AFSSAPS (Agence Française de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits de Santé) in progress

Germany: Herstellungserlaubnis nach deutschem Arzneimittelgesetz Akkreditierung vom Paul-Ehrlich-Institut

United States of America: AABB

In addition, Cryo-Save holds the following: Certificate of Product Liability and Ministry of Public Health, Welfare and Sport.

Hi Cindy, thank you for your suggestions. I've incorporated your versions of the "Products and Services" and "Labs" sections into the article. The text you proposed as the lead is far too promotional to use in Wikipedia (it sounds like a press release or an advertisement), so I wasn't able to put that into the article. Certified laboratories and processing facilities can be found in the following locations: Belgium, Germany, Dubai, India, France (validation in progress) and South Africa. Could someone please update my page with the correct number of samples stored (see last request)? Should be 200,000 and not 185,000. Hi A fluffernutter is a sandwich!, in addition to my request above to change the number from 185,000 to 200,000, could I also ask the following to be updated? Cryo-Save Lab, India has now been AABB certified and I want to link to the actual certificate on our website.

Hi Cindy - We're going to need to make some changes to the article to make it more suitable for here - the list of labs has no secondary references and unless these can found it needs to be removed. There are similar problems with the rest of the article - you need to start finding secondary sources to use as references, for example this. Anything like a press release should not be used as a reference - if no one took notice of your press release about reaching 200,000 samples then it shouldn't be in the article. I suggest you have a look through google news archives and see what you can find. If there's nothing in a week then I'll remove what is lacking secondary sources.
