green crystals of death do not exist[edit]

green crystals of death is not a real term or a new disease or illness. it is something that has been known for quite a while. it just was not called green crystals of death. the reason the evidence supporting green inclusions or green crystals of death is all relatively new is because the term is new. why is the phrase green crystals of death new? the origin of green crystals of death was due to a joke posted to a facebook page several years ago. it was posted to a page for medical lab scientists. some people who were members of the group did not know the post was a joke and now we have all these people believing this is some new phenomenon or illness newly discovered. it is not. it was known before I was in the lab profession 20 years ago. people new to the profession have been made to believe green crystals of death is an actual diagnosis or disorder. people new to the profession need to know that it isn't a real disorder or condition. it was something created from a really bad joke online. it is unfortunate that so many people believed it and the people who were responsible for it spreading haven't bothered to correct it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.60.159.10 (talk) 03:28, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what your point is. It obviously does exist, as demonstrated by the existence of numerous papers on the subject in peer-reviewed journals. Of course no one should be using the term "death crystals" in a professional context, but people do call them that and it's been documented in reliable sources, so there is nothing wrong with including it in the article with the disclaimer that it is an informal term.
