Simplex roller chain[edit]

is this the originating company ? or is it to do with simplex geometry ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.96.92.241 (talk) 15:33, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Crane-Simplex or Simplex Crane?[edit]

Maybe the correct name for this make is Simplex Crane instead of Crane-Simplex. The majority of sources I find say "Simplex-Crane" or "Simplex Crane". The Louwman Museum in the Netherlands spells the name without a hyphen, as do Hyman Ltd and, perhaps most importantly, the National Museum of American History. Also note the emblem states "Simplex" at the top, with "Crane" below it. And note this page at Bonhams, which explicitly says Crane-Simplex is incorrect.
