2009 outbreak in the Netherlands[edit]

The daily Dutch newspaper Volkskrant (volkskrant.nl) reported on December 17, 2009 that 40,000 animal were to be killed to stop an outbreak of Q Fever in Dutch farms. Sheep that due to lamb in January are scheduled to be put to sleep starting December 21, 2009 to reduce the risk of contamination of other new lambs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Djdutch (talkcontribs) 16:47, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
