This article is written in British English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, defence, artefact, analyse) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. Map of the Welsh Marches[edit]

I've removed this map: [[Image:WelshMarchesMap.png]], because it shows a modern interpretation of the loose term "The Marches" and not the area administered by the Council, which covered the whole of modern Wales, plus the counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire (but not Cheshire).
